It was in the middle of the week, when we decided to set everything aside and take a day off. Personally for me, it is really hard to find time for rest. A lot of times I feel unproductive and useless if, for instance, I take fishing trip – deep inside it feels wrong not to do anything. But lately, I felt like I’ve been living my life without enjoying what I’ve got. Have you ever felt like you work for something so hard and in the end you don’t have time to enjoy it, because you’re really busy? So, it certainly felt like that for me. It seemed like I work really hard to do good to my family, while never really taking time and enjoy the very people that are so precious to me. It is a great experience to actually take time and enjoy your family. So, last Wednesday we took off to Pismo Beach. It was awesome. I got to hang out with my family and enjoy their personalities. How fun it is to discover new things about people you love! Even though, it was only one day trip, there is something unforgettable about it. Something that will have very peaceful, beautiful memories filled with love and care. We’ll definitely try to do it again…

And below, check out our family time photos: my gorgeous Yana and two of our boys Nathan and Justin :)

Hey! This week is promising to be fun and unpredictable. Just a few minutes ago Nathan and I came back with our first cat. He called her Smokey – she’s gray. In fact, that’s our second ever pet. Before Smokey, we had a bird and it didn’t really work out. He was a very angry bird and would bite you so hard, my fingers would bleed. So, we just let that guy fly away – good thing Nathan was still too little  to attach to him. So, I suppose having a cat should be different. Justin already crawls after her, and Nathan can’t stop chasing, hugging and playing with Smokey. The only side effect, I guess, is that Justin can find that litter box and consider it food. We hope it doesn’t happen and will try to guard it somehow. I suppose, we’ll keep you updated on our cats life. We might even get a few pics on the blog.

But for now,  set of images that we were able to capture this weekend. It was a great pleasure meeting Caitlin! She is a very fun, outgoing person that did an amazing job modeling for us and we enjoyed every minute of the shoot.  Thanks Caitlin!

Silence for a week – is it worth it?

Honestly, this week wasn’t even anywhere near a great week for us. Its been one those  “roller-coaster” week. At first there were a whole bunch of positive news. Things that we really hoped for didn’t work out. It made us sad and grumpy,  another thing that sort of made this week weird is Nathan, or actually not having him here. He spent the whole week at his cousin’s place up North, in Sacramento. Joseph and him always have tons of fun. They’re like noise generators :) And in fact, that noise we really missed. It seemed very unusual to have quiet and peace in our place. Nobody is bugging you for ice cream, no one makes so much mess, no one wants to play ball with you – kinda boring if you ask me. So, we really miss Nathan and can’t wait for him to get back here.  It was also, very unusual to go to park today without Nathan. We thought Justin would have just as much fun without his older brother. But he didn’t care about the swings and slides, all he needed is to eat GRASS! So, Nathan being away is definitely not worth it…

Contests

Well, hi everyone. I bet you missed us! Well, we’re doing just fine! I’m finally done with my big test (its seems like i passed with an A, but still need final word from the teacher) , kids are still growing, and we’re still shooting :) This past weekend we got to shoot our wedding contest winners Nico and Alina. Absolutely fabulous couple ! We can’t wait for their wedding, because its promising to be  very fun, creative and with tons of awesome details. We originally planned to go to Shaver Lake area to look for luck in the forest settings. Got there a little earlier and – darn it!!! Its 1st of May and there was still some snow everywhere around!!! As our emergency plan, we went down to foothills and randomly found a decent place for a shoot. If you ask me for directions how to get there, I won’t be able to tell you – it was very random. It would sound something like this: “take a sharp right as you’re driving down the road…” :)

So, here are some of our favs….
