We’re thrilled to let you know that one of the wedding we photographed in 2010 was published at Chatty Brides from New England. Nico and Alina definitely deserved their wedding to be featured. They worked really hard and were very unique and creative with every detail of that day. You can follow the link above and let us know what you think about it.

Its hard to pick your best photos. We’ve worked with them for so many hours that they seem to us ordinary, nothing special kind of photos. “Well, maybe they are…” – we start thinking.

Just recently, I’ve listened to a podcast from Mark Driscoll’s series of sermons on the gospel of Luke. The one about being fruitful. One of the big points I really liked, was that Mark encouraged not only try hard to do good work, thus bring more “figs” (allegory for works), but also count your “figs”. And I thought to my self that its probably a lost art to actually step back and appreciate what’s been done in the past year. So, here we are, trying to take off the eyes of photographers, and put on the eyes of a “normal” person:) – its hard to do, if you ask me. Not hard to be normal, but hard to be satisfied with what you already have.

So, help us, look through the photos, critique, leave a comment, write an email, call or ignore… anything will do:)

This was our last wedding of 2010. Its crazy, but we began 2010 with shooting a wedding on Jan 1st, and we ended the year with a New Years Eve’s wedding. Its wonderful to begin and finish the year doing what you love, isn’t it?

Well, we have a special place in our hearts for Rob and Steph. In a very short period of time we were able to become friends. Rob is a graphic designer, and Steph paints. Both are great artists, and you can see and buy Steph’s work on Etsy here. Their wedding took place in San Clemente, CA at her parents’ home. It was a very unique event in all aspects. Very custom and personal, all details and decorations underlined both of their personalities. It was a great way for us to spend our New Years. Congratulations to you guys, again!!

Hey there! This is our first personal post of the year! It was last week when we finally took our kiddos out to the snow. It was a very gloomy day in town and we didn’t know what to expect. But when we got to Shaver Lake, it was actually very nice: sunny and warm. Snow is fun, period! I guess there is something about water, even in the frozen condition, that brings fun for kids every time they get in touch with it. Take a look at these photos, and expect a New Year wedding post soon!

Today is Friday, January 7th. Merry Christmas everyone! This would be the day when we would celebrate Christmas back in Russia. According to the Orthodox calendar Jesus was born today, not two weeks ago:). Its interesting though, in our culture kids get all their presents on New Years. And Santa, whom we call “Ded Moroz” also comes on the new years eve. According to the folk stories, Russian Santa also has a grand daughter named “Snegurochka”. She is the one who helps distribute the presents to the children.

To me the story of “Ded Moroz”, or Russian Santa was always more believable. According to Russian mythology Ded Moroz exclusively comes to Slavic kids and with  him  rides “Snegurochka” on Russian sledge behind three horses. I bet you didn’t know that:))

Anyways, below is a recent photo shoot with Jeremy and Tamila. It was a great pleasure to work with them. This couple really didn’t hesitate to pour out their feelings and emotions in front of a camera. They are pretty legit :)
