I want to tell you a little bit about why we do what we do. Typically, I don’t write a lot, but I’m afraid this is going to take some space. First of all, back in the days there had always been a distinction between a portrait photographer and a wedding photographer. And, truth to be told, there was a quite a good reason for that. Up until digital age, wedding photographers were always considered to be there, in the industry, for the money, not as much for the artistry. With time things have changed, and today you can see some of the most incredible talents do wedding photography. With that came a lot of different styles of wedding photography. And even though there is a big variety of the styles, I always separated photographers in two big categories. There are photographers who take pictures to show how great of a photographer they are – how well they can read light, and how well they can turn any setting into a great scene. And I respect them a lot! What they can do so well, I find myself unable to do, or unable to do as good – they are great talents. But the other category would be photographers who take pictures to show how incredible the people they photograph are. And to me personally that is the most important thing when it comes to taking portraits of people. There is just so much richness of personality in every person that I cannot ignore, but to show it to the world in the way I see that beauty. Complex as people are: their laughs, subtle smiles, kindling passions, brittleness, explosiveness, and honesty simply inspire me to do photography.
Honest Heart is something that came out of our natural tendency to seek for the truth in the people we get to work with. We feel that art has to be an experience. Whatever that is: branding, packaging, photo session, conversations. All of that, in our eyes, has to be an honest expression of who people are – who we are. We’ve applied this concept to all of our business, including our photo sessions and the outcome turned out to be stunning. The minute we start looking through the photos that come out of Honest Heart – it simply takes our breath away.
So, as I promised, there was a second part to Cam and Andrew’s photo shoot. I didn’t feel right to post them with the other set simply because it would take away from your impression of them. Simply look at these photos and listen to what they tell you – so much love and passion these two have for each other….
